Gutiérrez-Grijalva is a CONACYT Research Fellow at the Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo, A.C.; he is currently studying the metabolomics, bioactivity, and bioavailability of phytochemicals from plants of the Northwestern region of Mexico with biopharmaceutical potential against noncommunicable diseases.
