Nocturnal Prime Communication: Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Special Topic Issue: Folia Primatologica 2019, Vol. 90, No. 5

This special issue explores the variety of communication systems used by such nocturnal primates as galagos, slow lorises, tarsiers, and lemurs. When most primatologists discuss communication in primates, they primarily focus on vocalizations that are audible to human observers. This special issue demonstrates that nocturnal primates also communicate vocally outside the range of human hearing which is a maximum of 20 khz.
