OCT Imaging in Glaucoma, 1st ed. 2021 A guide for practitioners

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Park Ki Ho, Kim Tae-Woo

Couverture de l’ouvrage OCT Imaging in Glaucoma
This book provides readers with the most up-to-date practical information on optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging in glaucoma. A key aim is to demonstrate how imaging results are interpreted and applied in clinical practice.  To this end, many high-quality images are presented to document findings in patients with glaucoma, glaucoma suspects, and healthy subjects and to explain their clinical significance. The book is timely in that the role of OCT in the early diagnosis of glaucoma, the detection of disease progression, and the choice of management options has been advancing rapidly. OCT-based exploration of the segmented layer of the neural tissue and the deeper structures of the optic nerve, as well as OCT evaluation of the vascular network around the optic nerve head, facilitates understanding and assessment of the risk of glaucomatous damage. In explaining all aspects of the use of OCT in glaucoma, this book will be a rich source of information and guidance for practicing ophthalmologists, glaucoma specialists, and trainees.

Professor Ki Ho Park (MD, PhD) is a professor of ophthalmology at Seoul National University and the President of the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS) and the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS). He is involved with many eye journals: Associate editor of Journal of Glaucoma and International Glaucoma Review; Section editor of the British Journal of Ophthalmology, Japanese Journal of Ophthalmology and Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology; Editorial board member of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science (IOVS) and Korean Journal of Ophthalmology.

He is the President-Elect of the Glaucoma Research Society (GRS) and Vice-President of the Asian Angle Closure Glaucoma Club (AACGC). He has been served as the Board of Governors of the World Glaucoma Association (WGA), Co-chair of World Glaucoma Congress (WGC) 2017 Scientific Program Committee, and Convener of World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) 2020.

Prof. Park has published more than 300 papers in international peer-reviewed SCI journals. He was editor of Glaucoma Surgery (WGA Consensus Series 11, Kugler Publications, 2019) and Atlas of Angle Closure Glaucoma (2010) and associate editor of Angle Closure Glaucoma (Kugler Publications, 2007).

Professor Tae-Woo Kim (MD, PhD) is a professor and chair of Department of ophthalmology at Seoul National University College of Medicine. For the past decade, he has been dedicated to optic nerve head imaging using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography (OCTA) in glaucoma. For the first time ever, he has documented reversal of the lamina cribrosa deformation after intraocular lowering treatment, and proved t
