Industrial Applications of Glycoside Hydrolases, 1st ed. 2020

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateur : Shrivastava Smriti

Couverture de l’ouvrage Industrial Applications of Glycoside Hydrolases

This book gathers selected studies on the industrial applications of glycoside hydrolases (GHs), presenting an updated classification of these enzymes, and discussing their structure, mechanisms, and various approaches to improve their catalytic efficiency.

Further, it explains the various industrial applications of glycoside hydrolases in food, effluent treatment, biofuel production, and the paper and pulp industries.

Lastly, the book provides a comparative analysis of glycoside hydrolases and discusses the role of metagenomics in the discovery of industrially important enzymes. As such it is a thought-provoking, instructive and informative resource for biochemists, enzymologists, molecular biologists and bioprocess technologists.

Chapter 1. Introduction to Glycoside Hydrolases: Classification, identification and Occurrence.- Chapter 2. Glycosyl Hydrolases – Biochemistry and Applications.- Chapter 3. Lignocellulolytic and Chitinolytic Glycoside Hydrolases: Structure, Catalytic.- Chapter 4. Role of glycosyl hydrolases in breakdown of lignocellulosic waste and its industrial applications.- Chapter 5. Marine glycosyl hydrolases as tool for industrial application.- Chapter 6. Glycosyl Hydrolases and Biofuel.- Chapter 7. Role of Glycoside hydrolases in pulp and paper industries.- Chapter 8. Application of glycosyl hydrolases in food industry.- Chapter 9. The effects of xylanase synergistic interactions during lignocellulose degradation and their significance for industry.- Chapter 10. Role of metagenomics in discovery of industrially important cellulase.
