Dr. Muñoz is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics , fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Victor O. Morell, MD, is the Chief of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and Surgeon-In-Chief of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and the Eugene S. Wiener Professor and Chair, Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.   Dr. Morell received his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1988.  He completed his cardiothoracic residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and his pediatric cardiothoracic surgery training at Boston Children’s Hospital and at the Great Ormond Hospital for Sick Children in London. 

Eduardo M. da Cruz MD is the Associate Medical Director of the Heart Institute, Head of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Program and Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Section and Inpatient Services at Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine. He holds the title of Tenured Full Professor of Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology & Intensive Care. He has delivered close to 300 international lectures, published 80 book chapters and close to 100 manuscripts, and is a reviewer for 26 peer-reviewed journals, and the Editor or Co-Editor of seven CICU and Cardiology textbooks. He is the founder of the Working Group on Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care of the Association for the European Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC), Past-Chair and founder of the Section on Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Intensive Care & Mech
