Utilization of Plastic Waste Processing, Technology, and Applications Plastics Design Library Series
Auteurs : Dhawan S.K., Dhawan Ridham
Utilization of Plastic Waste: Processing, Technology, and Applications brings together the very latest advances in the utilization of plastic waste, explaining the processing methods and technology behind a range of cutting-edge applications.
The book begins by introducing plastic waste, discussing the types of solid waste, the sources of plastic waste, mechanical and chemical recycling possibilities, and the key principles, strategies and policies for plastic waste management. This is followed by an in-depth chapter covering the treatment methods and steps involved in the recycling and re-utilization of plastic waste. The subsequent chapters are dedicated to specific uses for waste plastic, including for composite tiles, conversion to fuel, road construction, and carbon nanotubes, before looking towards the future scope and possible directions for these innovative technologies.
This is an essential source of information for waste management and recycling professionals dealing with plastics, engineers, manufacturers, scientists and R&D professionals in the plastics industry, as well as government officials, regulators and NGOs involved with plastic waste, and researchers, graduate and postgraduate students across plastics engineering, waste management, sustainability, packaging, polymer science, chemical engineering, processing technology, and environmental science.
