Arun Prasad Murali is Assistant Professor of mechanical engineering at Vel Tech Rangarajan, R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. He primarily works in the field of processing of high temperature materials, including material development, welding, ablative materials, metallurgical characterization, tribology and powder metallurgy. He is a life member of The Indian Institute of Metals, The Indian Society for Technical Education, The Institution of Engineers (India), Electron Microscope Society of India, American Society of Metals and The Institute of Indian Foundrymen, and has published 18 peer reviewed journal articles to date.
J. Paulo Davim is a full professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as an honorary professor in several universities and colleges in China, India, and Spain. He is the series editor of Elsevier’s Woodhead Publishing Reviews: Mechanical Engineering Series.
