He is Editor-in-Chief of “The Handbook of Environmental Chemistry”, Springer Publishing House (Germany), member of the editorial board of the Journal of Marine Systems ”(Netherlands),“ International Water Technology Journal ”(Egypt), Editor-in-Chief of the “Journal of Oceanological Research” and a member of the editorial board of several Russian and international journals. Author of over 300 peer-reviewed papers, author and/or editor of 65 books, including the Encyclopedia of the Black, Caspian, Aral, Japan, Okhotsk, Bering, Barents, White, Kara, Laptev, East Siberian, Chukchi, Baltic, Adriatic, Ionian seas and Arctic Ocean, published in 2006-2019 in publishing houses "International Relations" (Russia) and "Springer" (Germany).
