Jane McGaughey is Associate Professor of Diaspora Studies at Concordia University’s School of Irish Studies in Montreal, Canada. She is the author of Ulster’s Men: Protestant Unionist Masculinities and Militarisation in the North of Ireland, 1912-1923 (2012). Her research focuses on popular representations of Irish sexualities, migration, loyalty, and violence since the early nineteenth century.
