Capillary Electrophoresis-Mass Spectrometry, Softcover reprint of the original 1st ed. 2016 Therapeutic Protein Characterization

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Xia James Q., Zhang Lichao

Couverture de l’ouvrage Capillary Electrophoresis-Mass Spectrometry

This book covers the latest developments in capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry for the analysis of therapeutic proteins. The application of capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS) coupling technology in the analysis of recombinant therapeutic proteins is detailed thoroughly. Specific topics include recent developments in coupling capillary electrophoresis with mass spectrometry for the quality control of monoclonal antibody therapeutics, top-down analysis of monoclonal antibody using the CE-MS platform, and detection of host cell protein impurities. Comprehensive characterization of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) by coupling capillary electrophoresis with mass spectrometry is also covered. This is an ideal book for scientists in the life science and biopharmaceutical industry who are working on characterizing the PTMs of monoclonal antibodies, as well as graduate students and researchers in the separation science and biological mass spectrometry fields.

Introduction to Capillary Electrophoresis—Mass Spectrometry.- Coated Capillaries for CE-MS of Therapeutic Protein.- Intact Mass Analysis of Monoclonal Antibodies by Capillary Electrophoresis–Mass Spectrometry.- Separation and Characterization of Proteins and Peptides in Biological Fluids using CE-MS.- Host Cell Protein Analysis using CE-MS.- Antibody PTM Analysis using CE-MS.- Characterization of Intact Therapeutic Proteins and Protein Subunits using CE-MS Platform.

James Qiangwei Xia, Ph.D., is the CEO and principal scientist of CMP Scientific, Corp. in Brooklyn, New York. His current research interest is mainly the electrophoretic separation and mass spectrometric detection of analytes that are relevant to life science and biopharmaceutical industry. More specifically, he is devoted to making capillary electrophoresis - mass spectrometry (CE-MS) coupling technology simpler, faster, and more robust.

Lichao Zhang, Ph.D., is the staff scientist of Stanford University, California. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. degree in the area of mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Her current research interest falls into the application of mass spectrometry to the identification and quantification of proteins out of complex biological samples.

Broadens readers’ understanding of protein glycosylation profiling using capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry and PK studies of biologics analysis using CE-MS technologies Illustrates the complete process for improving protein sequence coverage in the peptide mapping of monoclonal antibody by combining LC-MS with CE-MS workflow Enriches understanding of the most recent developments in coupling capillary electrophoresis with mass spectrometry for the quality control of monoclonal antibody therapeutics Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras
