The purpose of the workshop was to assist Caribbean countries in the development of effective management plans for queen conch fisheries and, consequently, to improve their capacity to implement regulations and obligations under the Convention on International trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and the Protocol Concerning Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife of the Cartagena Convention. This report includes, in the main body, the workshop objectives and programme, national reports from participating countries, analysis of issues from the subregional management zones and main conclusions of the workshop. Draft national management plans completed by individual participants and other workshops outputs are documented in the appendix to this report.
