Recent Asian Research on Thermal and Fluid Sciences, 1st ed. 2020 Proceedings of AJWTF7 2018 Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering Series

Langue : Anglais
Couverture de l’ouvrage Recent Asian Research on Thermal and Fluid Sciences

This book presents a collection of the best papers from the Seventh Asian Joint Workshop on Thermophysics and Fluid Science (AJWTF7 2018), which was held in Trivandrum, India, in November 2018. The papers highlight research outputs from India, China, Japan, Korea and Bangladesh, and many of them report on collaborative efforts by researchers from these countries. The topics covered include Aero-Acoustics, Aerodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Bio-Fluidics, Combustion, Flow Measurement, Control and Instrumentation, Fluid Dynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Thermodynamics, Mixing and Chemically Reacting Flows, Multiphase Flows, Micro/Nano Flows, Noise/NOx/SOx Reduction, Propulsion, Transonic and Supersonic Flows, and Turbomachinery. The book is one of the first on the topic to gather contributions from some of the leading countries in Asia. Given its scope, it will benefit researchers and students working on research problems in the thermal and fluid sciences.

Generation of Extra Shock Wave over a Half Wedge in a Supersonic Flow.- Heat-Transport-Evaluation of Nanosuspension as Latent heat Storage Material.- Development Of A Flight Stage Command System Pressure Regulator And Modelling Using Lms Imagine Amesim.- DSC analysis of nano-enhanced monobasic and binary solid-solid phase change materials for thermal storage.- A Novel Arrangement Of Rectangular Fins For The Enhancement Of Heat Transfer In A Rectangular Duct.

Dr. Abhilash Suryan received his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering Trivandrum, University of Kerala, in 1995 and M.Tech. degree in Propulsion Engineering from the same institution, in 1997. He received his Ph.D. degree in Gas Dynamics from Andong National University, Republic of Korea, in 2012. Currently, Dr. Suryan is an Assistant Professor in his alma mater, College of Engineering Trivandrum. He has wide experience in experimentally and numerically studying compressible flows. His research interests include hypersonic and supersonic flows, nozzle flows, propulsion engineering and hydrogen energy. Dr. Suryan was associated with research projects funded by agencies such as National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), Ministry of Education, Science Technology, Korea (MEST), and Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) during his doctoral studies. He has currently undertaken two projects funded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Center for Engineering Research and Development, Government of Kerala. He has published 20 international journal papers, 5 book chapters and 70 papers in international conferences. He is also the recognized reviewer for many reputed international journals such as Advances in Space Research, Aerospace Science and Technology, Computers and Fluids, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Visualization and Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets. He is a life member of AIAA, Aeronautical Society of India and the Indian Society of Technical Education.

Prof. Deog Hee Doh received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Korea Maritime University in 1985 and 1988, respectively. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from University Tokyo in 1995. Currently, Prof. Doh is a Professor at Korea Maritime and Ocean University. His research interests include Fluid Engineering, Flow Measurements & Visualizations. A very dynamic or
