Alfredo Soldati is professor of Fluid Mechanics and director of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer at TU Wien, Austria, and part time in Univ. Udine, Italy. His research focuses on physics and engineering of multiphase flows. Fellow of American Physical Society (APS) and of European Society of mechanics (EUROMECH), he also received several ASME awards, among wich the 2020 ASME Freeman Scholarship. In 2018 he received the International Prize and Gold Medal Panetti–Ferrari 2018 from Accademia delle Scienze, Torino, Italia. He currently serves as Rector of the International Center for Mechanical Sciences (CISM), and co-Editor in Chief of International Journal of Multiphase Flow.
Cristian Marchioli is professor of Fluid Mechanics at the University of Udine, Italy. His research interests focus on the modeling and simulation of turbulent multiphase flows. He is the director of the PhD program in Energy and Environmental Engineering Sciences and he also serves as Director of the Department of Fluid Mechanics at the International Center for Mechanical Sciences (CISM). He has organized numerous advanced schools and conferences in multiphase flows. He is Editor of Acta Mechanica.Date de parution : 04-2024
