Couverture de l’ouvrage Electronic Structure of Quantum Confined Atoms and Molecules
The present volume is a collection of review articles highlighting the fundamental advances made in this area by the internationally acclaimed research groups , most of them being pioneers themselves and coming together for the first time.
Effects in the Hydrogen Atom Confined by Dihedral Angles.- Symmetry reduction and energy levels splitting of the one-electron atom in an impenetrable cavity.- The Confined Hydrogen Atom Revisited.- Quantum Confinement studies on two electron systems.- Study of Confined Quantum Systems using Variational Methods: A Review.- Photoionization and resonances in confined atoms.- Spatial and shell confinement of one electron atomic and molecular systems: structure and electric dipole polarizability .- Study of Quantum Confinement of H+2 ion with Monte Carlo Approach. Respective Role of the Electron and Nuclei Confinement.- Variational study of one and two-electron diatomic molecules confined by hard and soft prolate spheroidal cavities.- DFT chemical predictors for confined atoms.
Editor of Statistical Complexity, Springer 2011 Professor Kalidas Sen (PhD, IIT-Kanpur) F.A.Sc., F.N.A. joined the University of Hyderabad in 1977 where he currently serves as the most senior professor. His collaborative research efforts in electronic structure theory with fellow scientists from Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Germany, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Spain, Turkey, UK and the USA have led to the publication of 8 monographs and 190 research papers in various prestigious international journals. A recipient of Humboldt, Commonwealth, Fulbright, and NSERC Canada Research Fellowship, he has recently been awarded the DAAD Research Professorship, Indo-US Professor of Physics of the American Physical Society, Visiting Fellowship of the Office of Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, and the J.C. Bose National Fellowship.
