Dr. Vikas Dhikav completed his undergraduate medical (MBBS) training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, India and postgraduate training in pharmacology and therapeutics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (MD), New Delhi India. He received his PhD in Neurology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), New Delhi, India  He has been conferred an Honorary Professorship by the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan in recognition of his outstanding work.  

His primary research interests are Alzheimer’s disease and clinical neuropsychopharmacology. He has published over 100 national and international papers and has also authored a dozen books in pharmacology and therapeutics, clinical research, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, basic and clinical epidemiology. He has been a Visiting Faculty at various Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese and Nepalese universities. His name features in the world’s leading Who’s Who and was nominated by British Medical Journal group to promote Academic Medicine in 2004. In 2010, he was nominated as one of the outstanding intellectuals of the 21st contrary by the International Biographical Institute, Cambridge, UK. He is on the editorial board of many leading international journals of neurology and is the associate editor of the Asian Journal of Cognitive Neurology.
