Handbook of Energy Systems in Green Buildings, 1st ed. 2018

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Wang Ruzhu, Zhai Xiaoqiang

Couverture de l’ouvrage Handbook of Energy Systems in Green Buildings
This handbook provides a comprehensive summary on the energy systems used in green buildings, with a particular focus on solar energy - the most common renewable energy source applied in this field. With the growing concern about environmental protections, the concepts of green building have been widely promoted and implemented in nowadays building designs and constructions. Among all, sustainable energy systems, including energy harvesting, conversion, and storage, is one of most important design factors in green buildings. Unlike traditional energy systems which highly rely on fossil fuel, green buildings utilize renewable energy source or high efficient energy systems, or both, to provide environmental friendly, low carbon waste energy. The most updated concepts, designs, technologies developed and implemented in heat pumps, cooling systems, power systems, and energy storage will be discussed here in details.
This handbook is subdivided into 7-9 main sections to provide an in-depth discussion from foundational principles to practical techniques. In addition, different cases about green energy systems implemented in global will be discussed. The book will be structured easy-to-read, to make it more accessible to graduate students and professionals in diverse scientific and engineering communities, including applied physics, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, material engineering, and chemical engineering.

WANG Ruzhu (R. Z. Wang) graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1984 and 1987 for his bachelor and master degrees. WANG got his PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1990 in the field of Refrigeration and Cryogenics (he was a sandwich PhD student between SJTU and Free University Berlin during April 1988 to March 1990).

Prof. Wang had been appointed as the director of Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 1993 and served as vice dean, School of Energy and Power (1996-2002); vice dean, School of Mechanical Engineering (2002-2008). He was elected as CheungKong Chaired Professor in 2000 by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China.

Currently Prof. WANG is the Director- Engineering Research Center of Solar Energy, MOE China, the Director-Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics, and the Vice dean of SJTU Energy Institute.
Prof. Wang had been elected as the President of Shanghai Society of Refrigeration (2002-2012), the president of Shanghai Society of Solar Energy (2002-2007).

Currently Prof. Wang is the vice president of Chinese Association of Refrigeration, the vice chairman of Chinese Society of Heat Transfer. He is also thevice president of IIR-B2 (Refrigeration Equipments) commission in the International Institute of Refrigeration.

Prof. Wang is the deputy Editor-in-Chief of Energy-the international journal, associate editors of Solar Energy, Heat Transfer Research and editorial member of the other 6 international journals (International Journal of Refrigeration, Progress in Energy and Combustion Sciences, Energy Conversion and Management, Applied Thermal Engineering, Sustainable Cities and Societies, Heat Transfer-Asia Research). Wang is also served as Editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Refrigeration Technology, deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese J. Solar Energy.

Prof. Wang served as chairman for several international conferences, including International Sorption Hea
