Technologies for Biochemical Conversion of Biomass

Langue : Anglais

Auteurs :

Couverture de l’ouvrage Technologies for Biochemical Conversion of Biomass

Technologies for Biochemical Conversion of Biomass introduces biomass biochemical conversion technology, including the pretreatment platform, enzyme platform, cell refining platform, sugar platform, fermentation platform, and post-treatment platform. Readers will find a systematic treatment, not only of the basics of biomass biochemical conversion and the introduction of each strategy, but also of the current advances of research in this area.

Researchers will find the key problems in each technology platform for biomass biochemical conversion identified and solutions offered. This valuable reference book features new scientific research and the related industrial application of biomass biochemical conversion technology as the main content, and then systematically introduces the basic principles and applications of biomass biochemical conversion technology.

1. Pandect of practice unit and process engineering of biomass biochemical conversion2. Pretreatment strategies for biochemical conversion of Biomass3. Enzymatic hydrolysis of pretreated biomass4. Microbial cell refining for biomass conversion5. Sugar strategies for biomass biochemical conversion6. Microbial fermentation strategies for biomass conversion7. Post-treatment strategies for biomass conversion8. Co-products generated from biomass conversion processes

This book is suitable for those in the field of biomass biochemical conversion including engineer, manager, technician, as well as those who are interested in this field.

Prof. Chen is the chief scientist of National Basic Research Program of China and the chief scientist of the Innovative Engineering Program ‘Biomass and Solid-state Fermentation’ which was supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Lan Wang received her Ph.D. from the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. From 2012 to 2019, she worked in Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as an associate professor. She was?appointed?as a professor in 2019 at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, PR China. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on better understanding of water pollution problems and developing green chemistry, renewable energy solutions to them for ensuring the sustainability of energy resources, both depletable and renewable. Toward that end, she has developed new clay-based 2D heterogeneous nanocatalysts by green synthetic strategy and applied in wastewater treatment by photocatalytic oxidation, and fabricated eco-friendly and portable nanomaterials based on natural polymer.
