The Healthcare industry is one of the largest and rapidly developing industries. Over the last few years, healthcare management is changing from disease centered to patient centered. While on one side the analysis of healthcare data plays an important role in healthcare management, but on the other side the privacy of a patient?s record must be of equal concern.
This book uses a research-oriented approach and focuses on privacy-based healthcare tools and technologies. It offers details on privacy laws with real-life case studies and examples, and addresses privacy issues in newer technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, and IoT. It discusses the e-health system and preserving its privacy, and the use of wearable technologies for patient monitoring, data streaming and sharing, and use of data analysis to provide various health services.
This book is written for research scholars, academicians working in healthcare and data privacy domains, as well as researchers involved with healthcare law, and those working at facilities in security and privacy domains. Dr. Ahmed Elngar is the Founder and Head of Scientific Innovation Research Group (SIRG) and Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Beni-Suef University. Dr. Elngar is a Director of the Technological and Informatics Studies Center (TISC), Faculty of Computers and Information, Beni-Suef University, Egypt. He is a Managing Editor of the Journal of Cybersecurity and Information Management (JCIM). Dr. Elngar has more than 25 scientific research papers published in prestigious international journals and over 5 books covering such diverse topics as data mining, intelligent systems, social networks, and smart environment. He is a member of the Egyptian Mathematical Society (EMS) and International Rough Set Society (IRSS). His other research areas include the Internet of Things (IoT), Network Security, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. He is an Editor and Reviewer of many international journals around the world. Dr. Elngar won several awards including the Young Researcher Award in Computer Science Engineering from Global Outreach Education Summit and Awards 2019. He is also a recipient of the Best Young Researcher Award (Male) (Below 40 years) from Global Education and Corporate Leadership Awards (GECL-2018). Dr. Elngar has many activities in the community and the environment service including organizing 12 workshops hosted by a large number of universities in almost all governorates of Egypt.
Ambika Pawar is Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Information Technology Department at Symbiosis International (Deemed University). She has more than 30 papers in the area of Cloud Computing, Data Privacy, and Algorithms. She has experience of 10+ years in teaching as well as in research. She has been a conference program committee member, Reviewer at various international conferences.
Prathamesh Churi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Technology Management
