Tribology in Materials and Applications, 1st ed. 2020 Materials Forming, Machining and Tribology Series

Langue : Anglais
Couverture de l’ouvrage Tribology in Materials and Applications

This book broadens the knowledge of tribology. This book is evolved out of current research trends on tribological performance of systems related to nano tribology, rheology, engines, polymer brushes, composite materials, erosive wear and lubrication. The book deals with enhancing the ideas on tribological properties, the different types of wear phenomenon and lubrication enhancement. Further, the tribological performance of systems, whether nano, micro or macro-scale, depends upon a large number of external parameters and important among them are temperature, contact pressure and relative speed. Thus, the book focus on the theoretical aspects to industrial applications of tribology.

Introduction.- Tribology of Graphene Oxide based Multi-layered Coatings for Hydrogen Applications.- Polymer Brushes Based Tribology.- Thin Film Lubrication, Lubricants and Additives.- Rheological Behavior of Hybrid Nanofluids: A Review.- Energy efficient graphene based nano-composite grease.- Synthesis of Magneto rheological Fluids Using Nickel Particles and Study on their rheological Behavior.- Tribology of intelligent Magnetorheological Materials.- Friction and Wear: Nanostructured Layered Materials as Novel Lubricant Additives.- Evolution of Surface Topography during Wear Process.- Wear characteristics of LASER cladded surface coating.- Analysis of Partial Texture Journal Bearing Lubricated using Micropolar and Power-law Fluids.- Evaluation of the Effect of Friction in Gear Contact Stresses.- Tribological and Mechanical Aspects in MEMS.- Stability Analysis of Rotor Supported on Surface Porous Layered Journal Bearing.- Tribological Effects of Diesel Engine Oil Contamination on Steel and hybrid Sliding Contacts.
