M. R. Riazi(www.riazim.com) is a professor and the chairman of chemical engineering at Kuwait University. He earned his M.Sc and Ph.D from Pennsylvania State University, where he also served as an assistant professor of chemical engineering. He has been a visiting scholar/faculty member at various universities in the US, Canada, Norway, and Middle East. Widely published, highly decorated, and a popular invited speaker/consultant, Dr. Riazi is the founding editor and editor-in-chief of IJOGCT (London, UK) and an editor of the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering. He is an AIChE fellow and received a Pi Epsilon Tau National Petroleum Engineering Honor Society diploma of honor.
Rajender Gupta is a professor of chemical and materials engineering at the University of Alberta. He has been involved in coal research from beneficiation to carbon capture for more than 35 years. He graduated in 1972 from IIT Kharagpur and earned his Ph.D from the University of Newcastle. Dr. Gupta led several research projects at the Cooperative Research Centres for Coal at the University of Newcastle. He currently leads coal research at the Canadian Centre of Clean Coal Carbon and Mineral Processing at the University of Alberta. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences.
