Power System Transients Theory , Applications and Examples

Following a discussion of the basic theory of transient phenomena—including lumped- and distributed-parameter circuit theories—this book discusses physical interpretation of the phenomena and then examines the theory of numerical simulation methods such as the EMTP (circuit-theory based approach) and numerical electromagnetic analysis. The book provides simulation examples in comparison with field test results.
