Smart Agrochemicals for Sustainable Agriculture

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Chojnacka Katarzyna, Saeid Agnieszka

Couverture de l’ouvrage Smart Agrochemicals for Sustainable Agriculture

Smart Agrochemicals for Sustainable Agriculture proposes products that fulfill the need for chemicals that provide a sustainable delivery system for nutrients necessary to maximize the production of agricultural animals and plants while producing the smallest possible environmental footprint. This book addresses all aspects related to the production process, including chemical formulas, stability of formulations, and the application of the effect of its utilization. Over the past decade, biobased chemicals have received significant attention as candidate resource materials in fertilizers and agrochemicals production due to their renewability.

Substitution of conventional raw materials with biobased requires a new approach towards the development of technology. On the other hand, the use of biobased chemicals, such as biostimulants, bioregulators and biofertilizers offers a new palette of products that are natural, thus their application does not pose an impact on the environment (residues) or cultivated plants.

1. Conventional agrochemicals: pros and cons
2. Sustainable agriculture: a challenge for the future
3. Agrochemicals in view of circular economy
4. Smart fertilizers – towards implementation in practice
5. Smart feed additives for livestock
6. Towards increasing efficiency of fertilization
7. Granulation as the method of rational fertilizer application
8. Crop protection
9. The role of nanotechnology in Sustainable Agriculture
10. Bio-based products for agriculture
A full professor since 2012, Katarzyna Chojnacka Ph.D., Dr.Sc. has published over 350 papers, including 200 papers in world-known peer-reviewed scientific journals from JCR list, among them majority devoted to biosorption. She has participated in many international and national conferences as invited plenary speaker and received numerous awards. She is currently the head of Chemical Laboratory of Multielemental Analyses certified by Polish Centre for Accreditation and ILAC MRA for PN-EN ISO which specializes in determination of trace elements in environmental and biological samples, as well as in commercial products. She is the author of 30 patents and implementation of fertilizer products with trace elements to the market. For many years, she has been an expert for the National Science Centre (Poland) and The National Centre for Research and Development (Poland)
Agnieszka Saeid is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Inorganic Technology and Mineral Fertilizers, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, and in 2016, she was granted scholarships funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland for young outstanding scientists. She has received numerous research grants, and published over 77 papers, including 70 papers in world-known peer-reviewed scientific journals from JCR list. Her works were cited more than 300 times. She has participated in many international and national conferences as invited speaker. She is the author of 3 patents and 3 patent applications. She cooperates with many universities in the field of multidisciplinary projects.
