Kanchan Das earned his PhD in industrial engineering from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He serves on the International Journal of Forensic Engineering and Management editorial board and is a proud member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. With 27 esteemed publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals, his research areas encompass Lean Manufacturing and Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Network planning and design, and the integration of sustainability and resilience in supply chain management. Currently, he holds a professorship at East Carolina University.

Miranda Dixon, a former student of Dr. Kanchan Das, currently works as an Electrical Engineer at Cupertino Electric, Inc., located in San Jose, CA. With expertise in low- to medium-voltage power distribution, control wiring schematics, and sophisticated power system modeling, Miranda has provided electrical design and process improvement to the aerospace, manufacturing, and construction sectors. As a fervent advocate for Lean philosophy and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Miranda has led, written, and maintained documentation for multiple continuous improvement projects.
