Polymer Supported Organic Catalysts

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Chauhan Narendra, Jadoun Sapana

Couverture de l’ouvrage Polymer Supported Organic Catalysts

Polymer-supported organic catalysts are largely insoluble in most reaction solvents, which allows for easy recovery and recycling of the catalysts. They are generally stable, readily available, and environmental friendly, so they have attracted the interest of many synthetic chemists in the industrial and academic fields. In this book, different types of polymer-supported catalysts based on peptides, polystyrene, polyethers, poly(acrylic acid), poly(ethylene imine), poly(2-oxazoline), poly(isobutylene), poly(norbornene), etc., as well as metals are included with their synthetic organic synthesis applications.

It is believed that this work will be of interest to organic chemists, material scientists, chemical engineers, polymer scientists and technologists.

Preface. Polymer-supported Organic Catalysts: An Introduction. Peptide-supported Catalyst: Synthesis and Applications. Polymer‐supported Phase Transfer Catalyst. Achiral Polymer-supported Organic Reagents. Alkaloid-supported Catalysts. Polystyrene-supported Catalysts. Polyacrylic Acid and Its Derivatives-supported Catalyst. Polyether-supported Catalyst. Dr. Narendra Pal Singh Chauhan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Bhupal Nobles’ University, Udaipur, India. He obtained his MSc with dual specialization in polymer and organic chemistry and qualified CSIR-NET exam with AIR 31st position and R-SET exam and completed his PhD from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, India. He has worked as editor or author on six published books, in the areas of biocidal polymers, biomaterials, inorganic polymers and polyaniline, as well as contributing to numerous journal articles and book chapters on functionalized polymers and related topics.

Dr. Sapana Jadoun is an Assistant Professor and FONDECYT Postdoctoral researcher at Department of Chemistry, Universidad de Tarapacá, Chile. She has completed her PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India, and her Master’s from the University of Rajasthan. She has qualified CSIR NET with AIR 19th and was JRF and SRF in DST-SERB sponsored project. Her research focuses on Materials chemistry (conducting polymers, and their functionalization for applications in photocatalysis, optoelectronics, bioimaging, sensing, etc.).
