Clean Energy Materials ACS Symposium Series

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Qin Lang, Fan Liang-Shih

Couverture de l’ouvrage Clean Energy Materials
New materials, techniques, and technologies To meet the ever-increasing demands of worldwide energy consumption, new technologies are needed to develop a stable supply of clean and affordable energy. This work explores recent advancements in and applications of materials in energy conversions and fuel utilization, providing the reader with a deeper look into cutting-edge research on energy materials. Chapters provide comprehensive coverage of topics from fundamental research to commercialization, including energy storage and conversion using hydrogen and other carbonaceous fuels, the design, fabrication and mechanistic study of energy materials, and fuel reactor design and reaction processing.
Lang Qin is Research Associate Engineer in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Ohio State University. Qin's current research focuses on design and mechanism study of microscale and nanoscale materials in chemical looping energy conversion and utilization. She is the Guest Editor of Processes and Associate Editor of Progress in Petrochemical Science. In addition, she has authored 30 peer-reviewed articles, one book, and one patent. Qin is a recipient of the American Institute of Chemist award (2019) and OSU Outstanding Award for Research Excellence (2015 and 2018). Qin is also a Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting alumni. Liang-Shih Fan is Distinguished University Professor and C. John Easton Professor in Engineering at The Ohio State University. His research fields are in particle technology and chemical reaction engineering. He is an inventor of eight clean fossil energy conversion processes for CO2, SO2, and NOx emission control and electricity, syngas, hydrogen, chemicals or liquid fuels production. He is also an inventor of the commercial electrical capacitance volume tomography for three-dimensional multiphase flow and structure material imaging. Fan is the Editor-in-Chief of Powder Technology. He has received a number of honors including the ACS E. V. Murphree Award. He is a member of the U. S. National Academy of Engineering, Academician of the Academia Sinica, and a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Australia Academy of Technology and Engineering, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, and the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
