Lucian Lucia is an associate professor at NC State University (U.S.A.), Foreign Talent Professor at Jiangnan University (P.R. China), and Distinguished Professor of Green Chemistry at Qilu University of Techology (P.R. China). He maintains The Laboratory of Soft Materials & Green Chemistry in all three Universities where he explores the fundamental chemistry and advanced applications of plant- and marine-derived biopolymers. He has edited several books, contributed numerous book chapters to a variety of book publishers, published a number of review articles, sits on the Board of several journals, and is the Founder and Co-Editor of BioResources.

Ali Ayoub is an internationally recognized expert in the biopolymer science and engineering field and has successfully developed groundbreaking inventions in areas relevant to polymeric materials and the biorefinery concept. He is a senior scientist in the chemical industry, as well as an adjunct professor and associate graduate faculty member at North Carolina State University. He is associated with the United States Department of Interior and symposiums related to natural polymers within the American Chemical Society.
