Water in Brewing - Manual of Good Practice, Vol. 8
Langue : Anglais
Certain beer types demand a special type of water and the availability of good quality raw water is vital for brewing. In the past, water use in breweries has been uncontrolled but today breweries have realized that water and the associated effluent are a major cost factor. In this manual an effort is made to give the brewer guidelines for water management from water sources to water usage, including re-use of water. Topics covered include characteristics of different waters, water treatment processes and quality management, supported by a number of detailed case studies from all over Europe.
