This is the first International Conference on Advances in Computing (ICAdC-2012). The scope of the conference includes all the areas of New Theoretical Computer Science, Systems and Software, and Intelligent systems.

He has also served two decades in Government of Karnataka. His research interests are in the areas of Image Processing. He has published more than 40 papers in Journals and Conferences. His research papers has been awarded as Best Papers in National as well as International Conferences. He has established new centres in association with various industries. He is also a board member of studies/examination boards of various universities. At present his research focuses are in the areas of document processing and medical imaging.
Dr. R. Selvarani is currently working as the Head of Department of Computer science and engineering in M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Earlier to this, she was the Dean Research in Dayananda Sagar Institutions, Bangalore. She has a dedicated teaching and research carrier spanning over 20 years in various universities including the position of Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering for a period of 9 years. Two times she has been awarded the best teacher award from different Institutions. Her research interest spreads over the modern approaches in the area of Software Design and Architecture, CBSD, software quality estimation techniques, Analytical Software Engineering, Metrics and Measurements, software design quality estimation and software industry process and computational models for real time systems, service oriented architecture and cloud computing technology, Distributed networks and computer networks. She has more than 40 research publications in peer reviewed international journals and conferences. Her research interest has lead to 2 patents on technology innovation.
