This second edition of Precast Concrete Structures introduces the conceptual design ideas for the prefabrication of concrete structures and presents a number of worked examples that translate designs from BS 8110 to Eurocode EC2, before going into the detail of the design, manufacture, and construction of precast concrete multi-storey buildings. Dr. Kim S. Elliott, is a consultant to the precast industry in the UK, Malaysia and Korea. He was Senior Lecturer at Nottingham University, UK from 1987-2010 and formerly at Trent Concrete Structures Ltd. He is also a member of the British Precast Federation’s Technical Committees on frames and flooring.
