Invariant Integrals in Physics, 1st ed. 2019
Auteur : Cherepanov Genady P.
In this book, all physical laws are derived from a small number of invariant integrals which express the conservation of energy, mass, or momentum. This new approach allows us to unify the laws of theoretical physics, to simplify their derivation, and to discover some novel or more universal laws. Newton's Law of gravity is generalized to take into account cosmic forces of repulsion, Archimedes' principle of buoyancy is modified for account of the surface tension, and Coulomb's Laws for rolling friction and for the interaction of electric charges are substantially repaired and generalized. For postgraduate students, lecturers and researchers.
Genady Cherepanov is the author of Mechanics of Brittle Fracture, McGrawHill, 1978, 950 pp, Methods of Fracture Mechanics:Solid Matter Physics, Kluwer, 1997, 310 pp, and many other books; he also edited the encyclopedic treatise FRACTURE, 1998, Krieger, 870 pp. He was first to introduce invariant integrals in fracture mechanics in 1967, and later in hydrodynamics, electrodynamics, and cosmology.
Provides a new, general tool to search for novel physical laws and to effectively derive known laws
Valuable resource for theorists at postgraduate and research level, and also lecturers
Author well known for his work on invariant integrals, and with many book publications to his credit
