Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (hereinafter ICCSD) of Tsinghua University was founded in December 2017. Mr. XIE Zhenhua, China's Special Envoy on Climate Change, serves as the inaugural president. ICCSD is missioned to provide solutions to global challenges of climate change and sustainable development, and propose coordinated goals, strategies, pathways, and policy recommendations to decision-makers in China and beyond. ICCSD has the vision to become a world-leading “think and do” tank in the field of climate change and sustainable development, as well as an open and synergetic platform for interdisciplinary research, talent training, and policy dialogues.
