Couverture de l’ouvrage Cased-Hole Log Analysis and Reservoir Performance Monitoring

This book addresses vital issues, such as the evaluation of shale gas reservoirs and their production. Topics include the cased-hole logging environment, reservoir fluid properties; flow regimes; temperature, noise, cement bond, and pulsed neutron logging; and casing inspection. Production logging charts and tables are included in the appendices. The work serves as a comprehensive reference for production engineers with upstream E&P companies, well logging service company employees, university students, and petroleum industry training professionals.

Introduction.- Cased-Hole Logging Environment.- Reservoir Fluid Properties.- Flow Regimes.- Flowmeters.- Radioactive Tracer Logs.- Fluid Identification.- Temperature Logging.- Noise Logging.- Interpretation.- Formation Evaluation Through Casing.- Cement Bond Logging.- Casing Inspection.- Well and Field Monitoring.- Appendixes: Production Logging Charts and Tables.- General Bibliography.- Index.

Richard M. Bateman is currently a professor in the Department of Petroleum of Engineering at Texas Tech University. He also joined Amoco and has held posts as chief petrophysicist of Halliburton Logging Services, Engineering Manager for Bridas (now Pan American Energy) and Regional Manager for Gaffney Cline & Associates’ Latin American operations.
Provides methods of conveying production logging tools along horizontal well segments as well as measurements of formation electrical resistivity through casing Covers new information on fluid flow characteristics in inclined pipe and provides new and improved nuclear tool measurements in cased wells Includes updates on cased-hole wireline formation testing Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras
