Couverture de l’ouvrage New Trends in Observer-Based Control

New Trends in Observer-Based Control: An Introduction to Design Approaches and Engineering Applications, VolumeOne presents a clear-and-concise introduction to the latest advances in observer-based control design. It provides a comprehensive tutorial on new trends in the design of observer-based controllers for which the separation principle is well established. In addition, since the theoretical developments remain more advanced than the engineering applications, more experimental results are still needed. A wide range of applications are covered, and the book contains worked examples which make it ideal for both advanced courses and researchers starting in the field.

PART I: Observer Design 1. On Dynamic Observers Design for Descriptor Systems (Survey Chapter) 2. Adaptive Observers of Nonlinear Large-Scale Interconnected Systems 3. On the Observer Design Problem for Switched and Hybrid Linear Systems with Unknown Inputs 4. On Unknown Inputs Observer Design For Linear Systems with Multiple Delays In States and Inputs

PART II: Observer based control Design 5. Observer-based Control Design: Basics, progress and outlook (Survey chapter) 6. Observer-Based Stabilization of Switched Discrete-Time Linear Systems with Parameter Uncertainties: New Scenarios of LMI Conditions 7. Practical Study of Derivative- Free Observers based Nonlinear Adaptive Predictive Control 8. A Robust Decentralized Observer-Based Stabilization Method for Interconnected Nonlinear Systems. Novel LMI Conditions

PART III: Observer based fault detection and tolerant control 9. Polytopic Models for Observer and Fault Tolerant Control Designs 10. Disturbances Observer based Fault Tolerant Control for a Class of Additive Faults 11. Robust State and Fault Estimation for Linear Descriptor and Nonlinear Stochastic Systems with Disturbances 12. Fault and Switching Instants Estimation for Switched Linear Systems 13. Observer-based Event-triggered Attack-Tolerant Control Design for Cyber-physical Systems

Olfa Boubaker received her PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Engineering School of Tunis (ENIT) and Habilitation Universitaire degree in Control Engineering from the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), in Tunisia. She is currently a full professor at the National Institute of Applied Science and Technology (INSAT) of University of Carthage where she is actively engaged in teaching and research in control theory, nonlinear systems, and robotics. Professor Boubaker has participated in several research projects in sustainable development areas including the fields of medical robotics, green energy, water preservation, and environment protection. She has supervised 9 theses and 18 Master dissertations and mentored more than 50 engineer graduated projects in the industry. She is an associate editor of the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (SAGE publishing), guest editor for the journals Complexity and Mathematical Problems in Engineering (Hindawi Publishing) and regional editor of the book series Emerging Methodologies and Applications in Modelling, Identification and Control (Elsevier Publishing). She also serves as scientific committee member in several international and peer-reviewed conferences. Professor Boubaker is the principal author of seven books, editor of six special issues, and the author/co-author of more than 150 peer-reviewed papers.
Quanmin Zhu is Professor of control systems at the Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics, University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He obtained his MSc in Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1983 and Ph.D. in Faculty of Engineering, University of Warwick, UK in 1989. His main research interest is in the area of nonlinear system modelling, identification, and control. His other research interest is in investigating electrodynamics of acupuncture points and sensory stimulation effects in human body, modelling of human meridian systems, and building up electr
