Comprehensive economic and spatial bio-energy modelling (Options méditerranéennes Série A N° 48)

This publication intends to contribute to the understanding of bio-energy economics in order to improve policy analysis tools available to decision makers. On this track, a large spectrum of complementary modeling works related to the bio-energy activity is presented : disciplines such as agricultural biological growth production analysis, geo-referenced information with remote-sensing and geographical information systems, micro-economic analysis and partial equilibrium models, mathematical programming, macro-economic impact analysis, life cycle analysis, multi-criteria analysis and fuzzy theory, computing and web applications development, are directly or indirectly involved. These elements functionally articulated to an integrated model as constituent components could assist decision makers on bioenergy evaluation regarding policy effects, environmental impacts and macro-economic considerations.
