Résumé de DSS from Theory to Practice ...

DSS from Theory to Practice is devoted to Decision Support Systems, Electronic and Mobile Commerce, Multicriteria Decision Aid and Ethical Dilemmas in Decision Making, the main subjects developed at the 12th Mini euro Conference of Brussels, which goals were defined as follows. Decision Support Systems are now one of the most important fields of interest of operational research. Their purpose is to face real world situations but they also include methodological contributions, sensitivity and simulation tools for the evaluation of the managerial impacts of the proposed decisions. Research in the Decision Support Systems field is presently strongly influenced by electronic and mobile commerce, by the methodological and application advances on multicriteria decision aid. On the other hand, human centred processes should be developed and ethical components should be included in modelling schemes. It has been the purpose of this particular conference to investigate all these recent and promising fields. Four key trends can be drawn from these publications: the notions of context in Decision Making and the notion of extended enterprise are taking an increasing importance which implies the need for greater collaboration between the actors involved in the decision making process, the aspect of risk management is more and more often modelled and taken into account in decision making analysis, modelling as an activity has always been and remains one of the obligatory step in DSS design, the development of software tools remains one of the most important topic for research in the DSS field.
