Efficient mixing of fluid-fluid or solid-fluid or fluid-gas in varying ratios is a general problem in very different areas, on small lab scale but also on industrial large production scale. There is a wide choice of different techniques and equipment available on the market. The problem starts when one has to select the most suitable technique. Especially when a technique needs to perform well on lab scale but simultaneously needs to have the potential for easy scaling up. This book is the results of the industry workshop "Dispersion Techniques" organized as a part of the "Colloidal drug carriers", in Berlin in 1999.
