Docteur vétérinaire, François Moutou est épidémiologiste à l'Agence française de sécurité sanitaire des aliments (Afssa). Il travaille sur diverses maladies communes à l'homme et aux animaux pour mieux les comprendre et les prévenir. Côté mammifères, il a travaillé sur les chauves-souris à la Réunion et suit les dossiers des carnivores en France.
Il est déjà l'auteur des Petites Pommes Pourquoi le chat ronronne-t-il ? et Pourquoi les mammifères ne pondent-ils pas d'oeufs ? (n°s 50 et 62).
Gwenaël Vourc'h is an INRAE researcher interested in the ecological conditions that promote disease transmission between animals and humans.
