Hydrogen is an ideal fuel for the future; it can greatly contribute to solve two of the big problems which the modern society faces: the security of the energy supply and the environmental impact and global warming caused by the pollutants emitted when using fossil fuels. However, in order that hydrogen is a real solution it has to be obtained through sustainable routes, that is, from renewable energy sources. This book focuses on the recent technological advances on hydrogen production from water and also from biomass processing that are the main ways conducting to sustainable hydrogen.
